History:  Charles H. Grimes built this home on the old Donation Claim property of Eli Hathaway.  In 1914 Mr. Grimes, a local farmer, bought the parcel of land on which the house now stands, from a Mr. Gildow.  In 1924, he bought a second adjoining parcel from Martin Boone.  The property passed from Charles Grimes to his wife Alice Burnham Grimes in 1926, who in turn passed the property to her doughter-in-law Josie Grimes.  Mrs. Grimes sold to Robert Tull in 1963.  Mr. Tull remains the current owner, using the house as rental property.

Description:  Vernacular Cottage.  Wood frame set on post and block foundation; L-shape ( 20’ x 12’ ) with shed roof addition on north faced; 3 bays wide; 1 1/2 –stories.
