It started like a regular day for Jin Thomas as she sent her kid to school and went to the office. Little did she know that some villains would try to rob her house that day.
She couldn’t believe it when the motion detector of her home security camera sent a notification to her phone.
Frantically, she switched on the live streaming, and here they were: two burglars inside her home. Jin was able to watch in real-time and quickly call the police. As she described the villains in great detail to the 911 operator, a police unit was en-route.
Despite a panicking effort to flee, the perpetrators were surrounded and caught red-handed.
Without her security system, Jin would have returned not only to lost possessions and a feeling of violation, but with little hope of ever discovering who was responsible for the attack on her property.
Here is exactly what Jin saw on her phone, and how the burglars were caught:
Data from the FBI crime report shows that we can expect one in every thirty-six homes in the United States to be burglarized this year. If you are a homeowner, you should be concerned about your house being burglarized too.
Unfortunately, the majority of people are reluctant to install a security camera, thinking they don’t need one. Numbers prove them otherwise. After experiencing their first burglary, most of the victims are eager to take the step though.
There’s nothing worse than getting home in the evening and finding a broken door and lost possessions. Even more when you know that, on average, only 14 arrests are made for every 100 burglaries - (statistics would be even lower if it were not for those homeowners having nifty home security cameras).
Aside from the obvious losses, there are also thousands to add on insurance premiums.
This is why it’s more important than ever to have an effective home security system. We spend our entire lives saving up for a home, so it only makes sense to invest just a fraction extra to ensure it’s safe, secure and protected against threats.
After extensive research, we were able to list the following security systems as being the best choices for homeowners:
