The “where used” information about the item is created when the MRP Area Model information is merged with the Bill of Material (BOM). Having defined which models of a product will be built in what MRP area with what items are necessary to build a product, the where used information of an item will appear in the stock status report.
To view item “where used” and storage information:
1. Enter the item number in the Select Item input field.
2. Check the Show Where Used selection box.
3. Click Go.
4. MRP Areas where used table will appear on the stock status report.
5. Below are the MRP Areas where the item is used.
To view more information, click the arrow in front of the MRP area.
6. Click the magnifying glass to see the Item MRP area detail including where the item is being stored.
7. The Item MRP Area Details session will appear displaying more detailed information about the MRP Area.
