Maintaining models is the process of defining what models are to be manufactured.  The Model session of the FMRP Supply Chain Workbench is populated while importing a bill of material  from an ERP system.   

To access models:

1. Using the Advanced menu, click Product and Process > Product Structure > Models.

In most cases, models do not need to be created manually if BOMs are imported on a regular basis from an ERP system which updates the model table in FMRP.  The ability to create a new model is available.

To define a new model:

1. Click Create.
2. Enter the Model number.
3. Enter the Model Description.
4. Click Create.
