Creating an Item MRP Area Record

Item MRP Area records can be created two different ways:


  1. By releasing items to production.  See Releasing Items to Production.
  2. Manually.


To manually create an Item MRP Area Record: 


  1. Using the Advanced menu, click Item Planning > Item MRP Area.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Click Zoom to select the item.
  4. Search for the item. 
  5. Click SEL for the appropriate item.



  1. Select the Ship-To MRP Area.
  2. Enter the Adopt Date.
  3. Select the Modular Container. 
  4. Enter the Modular Container Quantity
  5. Select the Unit Load Container
  6. Enter the Order Multiple. 
  7. Enter the Minimum Order Quantity
  8. Enter the Maximum Order Quantity
  9. Enter the In Transit Storage Location. 
  10. Enter the Receipt Location.
  11. Enter the Preferred Storage Location.
  12. Enter the Sample Items Storage Location. 
  13. Select the Dock Door.
  14. Select the Staging Area. 
  15. Select the Delivery Method (default). 
  16. Select the Default Linefeed. 
  17. Click Create.
