If your journal is honest and
complete,
you are certain to learn something more about
how your relationship feels from the other side.
And you might discover new dimensions
of your own side of the relationship as well.
Once you begin writing about the relationship,
half-articulated perspectives emerge into clarity.
Of course, if the benefits are not worth the
added effort,
you can always modify your practice
—or
completely abandon it.
But do you think keeping a relationship journal
might be worth a serious attempt?
Read this chapter to see if this might be a way
of improving communication in your loving relationship.
