Exporting reports
You can export generated reports in HTML and Excel format.
To export reports:
1. On the Tools menu, point to LAN Storage Discovery, and then click Generate Reports.
2. Select the report that you want to export. The report options are as follows:
 
Report
Description
Share Usage
Displays the total number and protected size of the files on the scanned shares, including duplicate files.
Largest Files
Displays the largest files on the scanned shares and the percentage size compared to the entire network.
Largest Duplicates
Displays the largest duplicate files on the scanned shares as well as the total size and number of duplicate files compared to the entire network.
Ownership
(Windows only)
Displays the total number of files on the scanned shares owned by a specific user.
File Type Distribution
Displays the distribution of file types on the scanned shares, sorted by space or file number. For each file type, you can select the top largest files from the entire network.
Partition Size
(Windows only)
Displays the total, free, and used disk space on each partition of the scanned machines.
Access Report / Dormant Files
Displays the total amount of data and files modified over a specified interval on the scanned shares.
Growth and Modified Files
Displays the number of files and size created or modified for each share over the specified period.
SQL Server Size
(Windows only)
Displays how much space is allocated for the Microsoft SQL Server for each computer on the scanned shares.
Exchange Server Size (Windows only)
Displays all .edb and .pst files on the scanned shares, including their directory, file name, and size.
All Duplicate Files
Displays a list of duplicate files larger than a specified amount on the scanned shares. This report is not generated by default.
3. To specify the options that are applicable to a report, click the report, and then make your selections on the right.
4. To place a copy of the exported reports in a ZIP file that can be uploaded to the DS-NOC, select Package all reports for DS-NOC when generating reports.
5. To export the selected reports, click Generate.
6. When prompted, select the location on the network for saving the reports.
7. To view the exported reports, go to the export location, and then click index.html
