Premium Burnished Finishes
- Burnished Finish Process
Burnished finishes bring out the fine furniture details of the cabinetry to
create a warm, traditional look. Burnishing produces one-of-a-kind results
and no two doors are exactly alike.
This multi-step process begins with an artistic over-sanding technique applied
to corners and relief areas of unfinished doors and drawer fronts, creating the
aged look of fine furniture.
Next, a darkening stain is artistically applied to the corners and raised
portions of the door and drawer fronts, creating a burnished effect.
Following the burnishing process, a coat of base stain color is applied and
carefully hand wiped to reveal the beauty and inherent natural characteristics
of the wood.
Burnished finishes are only available on door styles with solid wood center
panels.
As a final step, our oven-cured DuraKraft Plus™ topcoat is applied to provide
a beautiful and durable furniture finish.
Finish availability may vary by door style. See Finish Availability Chart
