A review conducted by senior U.S. surface fleet leaders found significant concerns with the ship handling skills of nearly 85 percent of junior officers. VADM Richard Brown ’85, USN, Commander, Naval Surface Forces, says that changes are already under way and that the Navy is serious about self-assessment and improvement. |

| Everything Is Going Swimmingly |
Swimming coaches Bill Roberts and John Morrison break records and beat Army, a great combo that has made the Navy swim team routinely dominate the Patriot League. In the past 15 years, the team has an overall record of 158-54 and is 55-1 in Patriot League competition. Since 2008, more than a dozen Navy swimmers have gone to the NCAA Championship and 22 swimmers qualified at three Olympic Trials. |

He got them away from the car even though they wanted more time to collect their belongings. As a NASCAR driver, he knows a thing or two about safety and what to do in an emergency situation. |
