| Navy to Play in Military Bowl in Annapolis |
A bowl game is going down in Annapolis! It’s Navy vs. Pitt on 28 December, the last game of the season. Join us for our Sunday night “Come Around” at the Alumni House and our huge tailgate with the Academy on Monday before the game, the only tailgate in town. You may also donate tickets to the game. Everything you need to know is right here. |

| Honor Our Fallen Heroes |
It is a new tradition, but one of which we are incredibly proud: Honor Our Fallen Heroes. This year we had ADM Michelle Howard ’82, USN, address the crowd at our tailgate before the families of fallen alumni were honored on the field during the SMU game. During that same game, an SMU player was given the opportunity to honor the memory of his father, former Navy football player Jeffrey Krstich ’70, who passed away in 2008. |

| Miracle on King George Street |
The biggest Christmas tree in Annapolis belongs to Ogle Hall, your Alumni House, and is lit to the delight of the city thanks to the Class of 1952 and a barber shop on Maryland Avenue. One resident wrote us a letter calling the annual lighting a “small miracle.” Awww. |

| Niumatalolo Stays with Midshipmen |
Navy fans held their breath for a bit with the news that coach Ken Niumatalolo was visiting Brigham Young University, and was considered the first choice to replace their football coach, Bronco Mendenhall. Niumatalolo was honest with his players about interviewing for the job, and as a man of Mormon faith, many considered losing him a very real possibility. In the end, his love of his Midshipmen and Naval Academy won out. |
