Internet Security

As you might already be aware Microsoft have released a new patched (updated) version on Internet Explorer 3 (1.02). the reason for this is that other people would have the ability to do things (actions) that the user might not want to be done (deleting files). So I suggest that you download the new version immediately, or better get Netscape Navigator!

Although Netscape Navigator is not entirely with out its flaws either it has consistently been recommended by top security experts. It has recently been announced that a system which both MS IE and Netscape
Navigator use to transfer encrypted Credit Card numbers, called GET, has a few problems with it. However both companies, say that this System is very rarely used for credit card encryption.

ISP:

An ISP (Internet Service Provider) is company who probably allow you to connect to the Internet. The usually offer dial-up connections as well as business ISDN & leased line access. Example companies who are ISPs are: Demon Internet (the host for j-dom), Paralex Internet (my ISP) and Virgin Internet.

There are certain companies which get confused as ISP's but are actually
something different. Examples of such companies are: CompuServe, AOL and MSN.
These companies offer their own particular services, part of which are comprised by Internet access. These are often called the "Online Services".
