Fundamental No.9 Information

Everyone in the team needs to know what is going on. This is closely related to communication, but remember - when communicating tell fellow team members everything you can, not just what you think might be useful. Something you ommit now might become important later on and the sooner everyone is aware of it the better. Similarly when a team starts on a project make sure that everyone knows all the background information. Even if some if it doesn't relate to their specific area they might be able to make constructive contributions, don't ever assume that they don't need to know. Supplying information on a need-to-know basis is an extremely risky and unwise thing to do in a teamworking situation.

Summary Everyone in the team gets to know everything.

Send us your teamwork stories, tips and anecdotes. Thanks for reading team this week, hope you enjoyed it!
