Every week you respond to us via e-mail at sysop@j-dom.demon.co.uk for which we are very appreciative. Several of you questioned our advertising policy, in various ways. Firstly the banners displayed on every page are from the LinkExchange which means that I am not paid for them being displayed, instead I get credits towards displaying my banners on fellow LinkExchange network sites. So when I was advocating the LinkExchange last week it was merely my recommending a good FREE service which I use. You can spend money to increase the number of credits you have, but it isn't necessary.

Also you queried the content of some of the banners displayed. I don't have very much control over them but I have now prevented the PG-13 and above banners from being displayed. I am afraid, however, that this might not prevent all banners which portray women as objects (which was one of the complaints). I do hope that this has helped clear up some of your queries.

It was nice that those who did e-mail with complaints about advertising were happy (and even impressed) with the overall quality of what j-dom offers. Stay tuned - We just keep getting better!

There won't be a new issue of j-dom next week due to the fact that I'm going on holiday to Canada for 12 days. But j-dom will be back the week after, so in the meantime, if you did miss any past issues now is the time to see our past issues.
