I am really annoyed at the majority of PC users. It seems as though they don't quite realise the history of Apple Computers. Some of them even think that the company is called Macintosh. Apple were the first computer company to mass produce a ready made personal computer!!! When Apple floated in 1992, they made the second highest floating of all time (only surpassed by Ford). Apple also made the most successful advertising campaign of all time, this was measured by the increase in product awareness, from 2% in 1983 to 82% in 1984.

Another thing that PC users do, is something that really disturbs me. Apple have kept in a trend of surviving, and these PC users deem it fit to kick a man (or company in this case) when its down. Over Apple's history people have said that Apple was going to die three times. This is something that really annoys me, the last time was a couple of months ago, and it looks like its happening now. This year is Apple's 20th anniversary - pretty amazing really, and I hear people saying Apple is going to die, just as they launch their most daring operating system strategy yet. People saying that Be, I mean to say BE. Is going to replace the Mac, a company which is only a year old, run by a former Apple employee. It doesn't sound exactly like an up and coming company run by a child prodigy genius, like the founders of Apple and Microsoft.

Anyway, now that I've had my gripe, I don't feel that much better. Admittedly Apple's new operating system strategy is very forward thinking, and they are making things happen. They will be launching the first stage of their new operating system strategy by the end of this month. However will this really cause PC users to make the switch? All of this time the PC industry has been playing catch-me-up, at this moment in time it appears that the PC industry have caught up, well I just hope that Rhapsody will be able to make sufficient improvements to their OS that the PC industry have to catch up rather than make themselves better than Apple.
