General Tips

* For Windows'95 users, check out the MicroSoft web site for new additions to Windows '95 and other operating systems. This is currently especially important because a problem has been found with the Internet protocol files, which allows people to crash your computer.

* To find out up-to-date infomation about the computing world, checkout C-Net's news site. They also have other sites such as www.download.com for downloading the latest software, and www.shareware.com for getting the latest shareware.

* If your thinking of making a web page then here is an example of one of my personal favourites, which you might want to have a look at: www.koganuts.com

Jargon Buster

CD-ROM: Compact Disc - Read Only Memory

A CD-ROM Disk is in appearance just like it's audio counterparts. Except they hold data instead of music. The most common use for CD-ROMS is for large multimedia applications, infomation storage, and large commerical products.
