General Advice

* It's a good idea to backup your "Autoexec.bat", "Config.sys", and "Msdos.sys" files (or variations on them, i.e. config.win). Becuase windows is somtimes known to do funny things with them.

* Need to know a bit more about Wiin'95? Have a look at the Windows '95 Resource Kit help file, on the Win'95 CD.

* Making a Web page with JavaScript? you might want to checkout the online Java Script guide.

* Is QuakeWorld Slow? Well have you set your 'Pushlatency'??? If not, goto the console and set your pushlatency to the minus of the average of your ping. (just read it again it'll make sense). And also try and bump up your screen res! Now you may be asking, "If I want to make it fatser why the hell should I bump up my screen res???" If you think about it it does actually make sense. (No it doesn't! -Ed)

 

Jargon Buster!

CAD - Computer-aided Design

The use of CAD is mainly to design a wide range of industrial products, from machine parts to modern buildings. The designer usually has a tablet with 'specialy designed' options on it. The designer can then put together a model of the product onscreen, and easily change it later. One of the most famous CAD packages is AutoCad.
