Recently it has come to light that a Tory MP may have had a gay sexual relationship with a boy when the boy was 18 (then below the age of consent which had been 21). Whether this is true or not really doesn't matter, the allegations have been made and will be always associated with this MP.

What was more concerning was that these and many other previous sleaze allegations had been masterminded by a PR executive who had a personal vendetta against the Tories. Labour quickly disowned him (even though he apparently has party membership). But this got me wondering.

This man has spent a LOT of time orchestrating this allegations, vetting "witnesses" and taking them to interviews. This man dresses with expensive taste and has a family to support, including a severely disabled daughter. So how he is funding all this, it seems to me that somebody is paying for this. Is it Labour? Is it a rich Labour supported without the consent and/or knowledge of Labour or is it some other group?

Whatever the case it seems like this election year is set to be spattered with dirty campaigning. I just hope the politicians don't forget that the point of the election is to give the people a choice in the future of our country, we didn't ask for entertainment.
