I thought so. Well Sony is the culprit. They poured millions and millions into their doomed MiniDisc product. Technically speaking its ok. Small, sturdy, quite a high capacity but slow. But nobody wanted it.

No other industry leaders adopted it, hardly anybody released music for it. For data it just wasn't big or fast enough. But Sony soldiered on and continue to do so, pouring money into publicity in the vain hope that people will abandon their CD players. People aren't ready for another change yet, their CD collections are just getting big, they're beginning to forget about all the tapes they had.

Sorry Sony, you screwed up, but we don't care!
