Don't you just hate mental blockages? They really are quite annoying. This one, the one I currently have, sort of started a couple of seconds after Jason asked me to do this groan. It has kind of grown on me since then . I have sat here for several hours now trying to think of something to write. I'll tell you one person who didn't help. That was Douglas Adams. He was merrily chatting away to himself. I didn't really want to stop him. So there he was gibbering away to himself and there I was looking for inspiration.
I think some of Mr Adams' writing style may have rubbed off on me though. He says that he always gets mental blocks. I hardly ever get them. I can normally write my way out of one quite easily. He says that he normally has to put his forehead on the sheet of paper and wait until it bleeds. But then again he is the bloke who said "I love deadlines. I especially love the sound they make as they fly past." So maybe I've caught something from him. Could this be the reason that I can't think of anything to write. Could this be the reason that the deadline is rapidly coming towards me and I only have two paragraphs.
Anyway I'm fed up with it. At the moment I am currently having a very bad day. I have had so many things happen today that I should be able to think of something to groan about but they all seam to pale in to nothingness in comparison with a mental blockage. However there is something that I do want to complain about, probably only a couple of people will get this but, I really don't like people who not only write e-zines but also announce loudly people who lack enough space on their network area to log on. Ha, said it, now. HA!
