Spoons at the ready– London’s first
cereal cafeopens thisDecember.
But will it be
grrrrrreat
?
Stuck in abreakfast rut?Get yourself down
to theCereal Killer Cafe on Brick Lane,
East London, from 10December. Set upby
identical twin brothersGary andAlan Keery
fromNorthern Ireland, this unusual eatery
is offering just one thing: cereal. It will be
theUK’s first restaurant dedicated to the
morning staple. “We felt a cafe like this was
well overdue,” saysGary. “We love cereal and
wanted to celebrate it in away that has never
been done before.”
At this trendy cafe you’ll findmore than
100different cereals to choose from, with
options fromAustralia, theUS, France, South
AfricaandSouth Korea. The boys have 12

milk options (strawberrymilk, anyone?),
20 toppings including fruit, marshmallows,
M&Ms andmini Oreos, and even 18 flavours
of Pop Tarts. It’s a sugar-coated nostalgia trip
back to your childhood.
“When I was a kid, I used to eat Banana
Bubbles, whichare likebanana-flavoured
RiceKrispies,” saysGary. “Sadly they were
discontinued in the90s. The cafedoes have
SouthAfrica's Strawberry Pops, like strawberry
RiceKrispies, as well as hard-to-finds like
OreoO’s, onceapopular global breakfast
treat, now only available inSouthKorea. Two
thirds of Brits eat cereal everymorning, so
we’re hoping it will bea hit,” headds.
The cafe is open from 7am–8pm every day.
Gary’s tip?Anythingpeanut butter-flavoured:
“The peanut butter and chocolate Reeses
Puffs aremy favourite.”
