The Philippines’ largest national flag
carrier, Cebu Pacific Air, will begin direct
flights from Manila to Phuket, Thailand,
starting August 16, 2013.
CEB is the first and only airline
to provide direct air services from
the Philippines to this popular island
destination.
Using its fleet of brand-new Airbus
A320 aircraft, CEB will operate a thrice-
weekly Manila—Phuket service every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The
maiden flight will leave Manila at 8pm
and arrive in Phuket at 11pm. The return
flight will depart Phuket at midnight, and
arrive in Manila at 5.05am.
“
Cebu Pacific is proud to make the
island of Phuket accessible to even more
travelers… We encourage everyone to
take advantage of CEB’s trademark lowest
fares to this world-renowned tourist
attraction,” said CEB VP for Marketing
and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Phuket is CEB’s second destination in
Thailand, aside from Bangkok where CEB
operates 12 weekly flights from Manila
and twice-weekly flights from both Cebu
and Clark.
A year in
Siem Reap
Cebu Pacific Air celebrated its first
anniversary in Siem Reap last April
24—27
by holding a road show
in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh,
Cambodia.
The event was attended by Cebu
Pacific representatives and travel
agents. The Department of Tourism
was represented by Director Ma.
Corazon Jorda-Apo, while Mr Bruno
Desveaux and Mr Gulles Tellier
represented Cambodia Airports. His
Excellency Ambassador Noe Wong
and Consul General Jose Cabrera
were guests of honor.
The road show aimed to create
awareness and interest in Cebu
Pacific and the Philippines.
CEB pioneered direct low-cost
flights from Manila to Siem Reap.
