Be a voluntourist
Make traveling more meaningful by spending your time
helping others. Check out Habitat for Humanity’s (

Ronda Probinsiya Fiesta Build program, where
they go around provinces to construct homes in time with
local fiestas. Hands on Manila (
also has interesting volunteer vacations listed on its site.

Strengthen
relationships
Plan of action: Explore
Mount Pinatubo
Trekking Mount Pinatubo will give
families or
barkadas
(
groups of
friends) a chance to bond. The one-
hour 4x4 ride going to the jump-off
point could be time well spent for
catching up, but reserve the juiciest
bits of your stories for the trek up.
Walking from the jump-off point to
the crater lake can last 40 minutes
to three hours, depending on your
starting point and hiking speed. You
can exchange more stories while
you take a relaxing dip in the lake.
Lunchtime and the journey back
also provide more opportunities for
chicka
(
small talk)
if you’re not
exhausted yet, that is.
Cebu Pacific flies to Clark and
Manila from across the network.
