IN BUSINESS
,
it pays to listen to what
the market asks for. AyalaLand Hotels
and Resorts (AHRC) — the tourism and
hospitality subsidiary of Ayala Land,
Inc (ALI) — kept this in mind when they
conceived Seda, their very own urban
lifestyle hotel brand that will provide only
the very best location, service and value for
money to customers.
In December, the property giant unveiled
the first Seda hotel in Bonifacio Global City.
The 179-room Seda Bonifacio Global City
is perfectly located within easy access of
the hip enclave of restaurants and shops of
Bonifacio High Street and Serendra. The
second hotel, Seda Centrio, was opened
to the public in Cagayan de Oro. The 150-
room property is nestled within the Centrio
ALI development that combines office and
retail spaces. Two more Seda hotels are set
to open in Abreeza, Davao and NUVALI in
Laguna during the first and last quarters of
this year.

Seda, the exciting new brand of hotels from Ayala Land,
promises to give discerning travelers their heart’s desires
Simply
the best
that perfectly describes the vision behind
Seda. According to Al Legaspi, AHRC
chief operating officer, the name Seda
was chosen to capture the “new and fluid
hospitality experience” that represents the
best the Filipino has to offer.
Ensuring that this goal is carried out
is the Seda group general manager
Andrea Mastellone. The hotelier, who
has an impressive 25-year career in the
global hospitality industry, has made it
his mission to provide the “optimal guest
experience” for everyone who stays at the
hotels, using state-of-the-art technology
and the personable service that has
distinguished Filipinos in the hospitality
industry worldwide.
And then there is the matter of the
world-class design of the rooms. “Because
AHRC is both the developer and operator
of the Seda brand, we can be more flexible
in giving our clients what they want at
best values,” Mastellone explains. AHRC
tapped well-known Filipino architect
Conrad Onglao to design all the interiors,
including guestrooms and public areas.
Onglao established his practice in the US
West Coast where he was able to work with
the best designers in the global hospitality
industry.
Since every Seda hotel is built with
easy access to an Ayala mall and office
buildings, Mastellone says it is sure to be
a destination in itself. “Seda will offer the
convenience and security of a high-energy,
central location on top of innate Filipino
hospitality combined with global best
practices,” he notes.
In short, the best an Ayala Land brand
has to offer.
