CEB and the GMA Kapuso Foundation treated
75
pupils from Paliparan III Elementary School
in Cavite to a trip to Star City.
Through the outreach activity called Fun for
Little Juans, grade one students enjoyed an
exciting afternoon at Star City. CEB volunteers
also distributed Jack ‘n Jill baon snack packs
with such brands as Quake Bars, Oh My
Juice! drink and Roller Coaster chips, to all the
students.
“
Since last year, CEB has been GMA
Kapuso Foundation’s partner in inspiring, and
bringing fun to, children. Last year, some 100
elementary students got to board one of our
newly delivered Airbus A320 aircraft and
learned about air travel from our pilots and
cabin crew,” said Michael Shau, CEB VP for
People and Administration.
Around 40 employee volunteers helped
out during the event, and assisted the parents,
guardians and teachers of the 75 students.
A barangay located in Dasmariñas City,
Cavite, Paliparan III is a relocation site for more
than 45,000 informal settlers from Pasay
City. The GMA Kapuso Foundation chose the
recipients of the Juan for Fun outreach from
among the less-fortunate students of Paliparan
III.
“
Masaya po. Gusto ko po yung carousel.
Nag-enjoy din po ako sa mga bump car!
(
I
went on the carousel ride twice; I also loved
driving the bump cars!),” six-year-old Mary
Joy Capili enthused.
Fun for Little Juans was in partnership with
Star City, Worthy Transport Inc. and Universal
Robina Corporation. It is part of Cebu Pacific’s
Dreams on Flight outreach program, and only
one of many upcoming and exciting activities
the airline has in store for students in the
coming months.

10
years in South Korea
CEB celebrated its 10th year of operations
in South Korea last month.
The airline first flew to South Korea
with flights to Incheon (Seoul) in 2002. It
now operates a total of three daily flights
from Manila and Cebu to Incheon (Seoul),
and a total of eight weekly flights from
Manila and Cebu to Busan. Lowest year-
round fares between South Korea and the
Philippines start at PHP3,999.
“
Incheon was CEB’s second
international destination. Since 2002,
we have recognized how important it
is to provide direct linkage between the
Philippines and South Korea and have
responded with more flights and routes
for the benefit of business and leisure
travellers,” said CEB VP for Marketing and
Distribution Candice Iyog.
CEB flew more than 195,000
passengers between the Philippines and
South Korea in the 1st half of 2012, a 15%
increase compared to the same period
last year.
