shooting in the most exotic places. He shares snapshots

gorgeous covers for countless
magazines, and is one of
Smile’s
favorite
photographers. But if you ask Francisco
“Paco” Guerrero to describe what he
does for a living, he’ll tell you he is a
“professional snoop and storyteller.” He’s
been doing this for 15 years of his young,
37-year-old life, but still attacks it with the
passion of someone who’s just been bitten
by the bug. Perhaps it’s because work takes
him places. “Last year I logged in about 70
flights — that’s about six to seven months
of the year I was out of Manila,” he says.
Here, he shows us some stills from his past
and recent trips, and shares how he keeps
tabs of his best travel moments in photos
(so you can do it, too!).

RUN FOR IT, PACO!
Here I am
working out between shots — not.
This snap shows me running in the sand
dunes of the Middle East to catch the
light. This was for a six-day commercial
shoot and we really needed to get a shot
of a falcon and its trainer.

BOWLED OVER IN BOHOL
During my most recent shoot in
Bohol, I snapped these two places: one
of the docks near Tagbilaran and the
river cruise.

STRUM AWAY WITH ME
I watched guitar makers put together
these instruments in Cebu. I like shots of
details and patterns like this one.
