Jacqueline Laudico, Bfast serves delicious
alternatives to the fast-food breakfasts that

but the small eating area
can accommodate those who need to sit
down and get their lechon fix on the spot.
Zubuchon recently celebrated its first
anniversary and has branches on Escario
Street and at Islands Stay Hotel in Mactan.
INDULGE IN:
The blistered skin of the
lechon and chicharon is, like the traditional
method in which the pig is cooked, a
Zubuchon trademark. The menu features
pork in all its guises. Try the Monggo
with lechon soup topped with chicharon
(
PHP180), Lechon Dinuguan (PHP190),
and Adobong Kangkong with Chicharon
(
PHP80). The
kamias
shake (PHP90) is an
unlikely choice, but is the best foil for the
richness of the dishes.
