Please be considerate if you are
sitting near children or others who
may find some of a movie’s content
offensive. In such cases, please
choose another movie.
Is the service available on the 787
Dreamliner aircraft?
No. The service is not available on the
787 yet. Passengers have access to free
video on demand through their personal
seatback monitors on the 787 (
see left
).
I watched a cool action movie with a
violent dinosaur. Does Norwegian support
violent dinosaurs since they offer this
type of entertainment?
Of course not. Norwegian does not
support violent dinosaurs or any other
type of violent behaviour. Norwegian
cannot take responsibility for the
content of TV shows, movies and other
programmes shown – nor the type of
entertainment our customers choose.

You can now use your
smartphone, tablet
or laptop to rent and
watch movies and TV
shows. We answer the

What is video on demand?
Video on demand (VOD) allows you to
select, watch and rent movies and TV
shows on your own device.
How does the technology work?
VOD allows you to watch movies directly
from your smartphone, laptop or tablet.
The content is streamed directly to your
device from a server on board. Content
is not streamed from the inflight WiFi, so
internet browsing capacity is not affected.
What operating systems does it work with?
VOD works on most operating systems
(such as Android, iOS, Windows etc), but
you must perform a device test before
being allowed to rent video content.
What does it cost?
The service costs €7 per
movie rental or €7 for the
complete TV package.
How long is rental
valid for?
You have access to the
movie or TV package for
24 hours on Norwegian’s
aircraft. So if you fly out in the morning
and back in the evening, for example, you
can still watch your rental on your second
– or third, fourth or fifth – flight during a
24-hour period.
That’s great! Does the rental only work on
the aircraft?
Yes. You can only watch your rentals on
board Norwegian’s aircraft.
How does the payment system work?
You pay by entering your credit card
and payment details on the portal. The
system processes your payment through
a bank authorisation. We accept any
major credit cards and are fully PCI
security standards compliant.
