Lenovo’s new
hybrid Yoga gets
bent into shape
With research firms like
Forrester and IDC predicting
a massive increase in tablet
sales over the next three to
four years, and with many
households already owning a
tablet as well as a laptop, it’s
only natural that tech compa-
nies would start developing
hybrids that can perform the
functions of both. Lenovo’s
foray into the field includes
the limber Yoga 13, which can
fold from a traditional laptop
into a tablet configuration,
as well as stand up in two
different ways. The computer
also features webcam-based
motion control and Win-
dows 8, a touch tile–based
interface that many hope
will disrupt Apple’s market
dominance. At the very least,
the Yoga stands to eliminate
the need for an iPad holder.
