Christmas is over
and memories of New Year’s Eve merriment
have retreated, leaving you faintly nauseous,
and full of despair at the thought of two more
months of winter.
Many of us choose this time for a holiday
away from the monotony and greyness. But,
when we’re looking to escape, where do we
choose? Egypt’s exotic mix of ancient history
and Red Sea snorkelling, perhaps? Morocco,
for souks, tajines and surfing? Or maybe the
Canaries, where dramatic volcanic landscapes
provide a backdrop to laid-back beach time?
We asked just this question to some of our
