HOTELS ET PATRIMOINE
SWISS MANAGEMENT AND HOTEL GROUP
Hotels in Geneva - Lausanne - Morges - Ecublens - Fribourg
A miniature railway in Hotel AlaGare Lausanne
Since 2004, the Hôtels et Patrimoine Group has developed six “boutique hotels” in
Western Switzerland (Geneva, Morges, Ecublens, Lausanne and Fribourg). Our most
recent innovation was to install an operating miniature railway in the breakfast room of
Hotel AlaGare in Lausanne. This project reflects our concept of modern urban hostelry:
focused on clients, friendly, innovative and entertaining.
Since its inception the Hôtels et Patrimoine management team has been largely made
up of women; a fact which has contributed significantly to the group’s distinctive style.
Today, 92% of our 80 employees are women. It seemed evident therefore that we
become a partner of
Toutes à l’école
(School for all girls) educational program.
Supporting partner of
Toutes à l’Ecole
In the world’s poorest countries often only boys are allowed to go to school and girls
are condemned to a life of chores and domestic servitude. Only a third of all school
children in the world are girls.
In 2005, journalist Tina Kieffer decided to address this injustice by creating
Toutes à
l’école,
an association dedicated to providing young girls from poor countries the
possibility of independence through schooling and the development of wage earning
skills.
Toutes à l’école
built its first school, Happy Chandara, in Cambodia in 2006. The
school is presently providing 850 girls the means to build a better future.
Helping young girls to develop into successful and independent adults is a mission that
we take to heart.
Anne Southam Aulas, founder and CEO of Hôtels et Patrimoine
Hôtels et Patrimoine wishes you a Happy New Year
and a lot of success to all Happy Chandara school girls!
