hello and welcome on board.
We’ve recently
celebrated the 10th anniversary of our very first
Airbus aircraft, which was delivered to easyJet
Switzerland in 2003. Ten years on, our fleet has
grown to 218 Airbuses. We’re proud to have one of
the most modern aircraft fleets in the world, with
an average age of just 4.1 years.
That happy decade isn’t the only anniversary
we’re marking this month. It’s easyJet’s birthday
on 10 November, marking 18 whole years since
our first flight took off from Luton.
We’re also celebrating the opening of our 23rd
base in Hamburg, from March 2014. The north
German city is popular with both business and
leisure travellers, and with good reason. As the
second largest city in Germany and the ninth
largest in the European Union, it’s a buzzing
harbourside metropolis with great culture
and nightlife – a fantastic place for our second
German base.
We’re excited to be connecting more people
than ever, with over 60 million of you choosing
to fly with us a year, to 137 destinations across
34 countries in Europe and beyond.
