With your European Health Insurance Card you can access
state-provided healthcare if you fall ill or have an accident
during your stay abroad. Show your card to a doctor or at the
hospital and you will receive the necessary treatment under the
same conditions as people insured in that country.
Cards are issued free by your
national health insurance provider.
