world”, is the place to drink.
It’s been renovated for the
2012
season and is perfectly
suited for party-harders, with
shot-downing, bar-stomping,
rafter-swinging debauchery
and live bands every night.
Says Sawyer: “They play great
cover versions of every classic
guitar rock anthem.”
To go the distance, you’ll
want to line your stomach
mid-evening and Verbier
offers a hardcore take on
gastronomy: meat cooked on
la potence, (‘the gallows’) is

shots that keep the local
seasonaires happy”. Having
just opened last season,
it offers theme nights, live
music and also screens sports
events. Plus, as they don’t
serve food, they’re happy for
the late-night clubbers to
bring in a bite to eat from the
Hauts Sandwiches take-away
next door to keep them going.
