A
t the recent Passenger Choice Awards ceremony held in
California, Brussels Airlines was presented with the
prestigious Avion Award for “Best Single Achievement in
Passenger Experience”. Judged by industry peers and
members of the media, the Avion Award is handed out to airlines and
member companies that have enjoyed tremendous success
in their field and projects.
The new long-haul cabin, currently being installed on all Brussels
Airlines’ long-haul aircraft, is a high-quality premium product of the
latest generation that positions the airline as a trendsetter thanks to
its modern design, revolutionary technology and superior comfort.
Business Class passengers enjoy a premium fully-horizontal flatbed
equipped with a pneumatic cushion allowing preferred cushion
softness as well as a relaxing massage, while Economy Class
passengers enjoy an ergonomic seat with generous legroom. The
revolutionary inflight entertainment system offers all passengers over
100
hours of entertainment available in six languages. All passengers
will also have a personal touchscreen TV monitor.
Refurbishment of the long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft started in June
2012,
and Brussels Airlines passengers already enjoy the new product
on the daily connection to New York as well as on several flights to
Africa. By spring 2013, the entire long-haul fleet will be refurbished
and all intercontinental passengers will enjoy the luxury and superior
comfort of the new long-haul cabin.
The Passenger Choice Awards ceremony was part of the annual APEX
EXPO, the aviation industry’s leading event for air travel professionals,
and is the result of a year-long online passenger survey. Designed to
invite direct feedback from every member of the travelling public in
order to recognise airline services, innovations and products, the
Passenger Choice Awards programme is recognised as a leading way
to measure industry excellence.
