mission: to find evidence thatMars could
have supported life. If they find it, Mars

missions.

and in the areaof technology,” saysDavid
Beaty,Mars chief scientist at NASA’s Jet
PropulsionLab.

a small scrap couldwreck a solar panel or
damageahabitatwall.)
