since downloaded some of his songs, and

magazines, too, but I truly look forward to
getting on the plane and reading

. The only problem is that on a short

I enjoy Jim Shahin’s column and findmy-
self logging on to your website to read it
when Ihaven’t flown inawhile. I especially
enjoyedhis August 15 column, inwhichhe
wrote about Texas barbecue. I am a trans-
planted Texan who has been in New York
City for almost five years. I travel toDallas
frequently, but I alwayswonder ifmymoti-
vation is truly for business reasons or if it is
moreapilgrimage toget the foods Imiss.
It’s nice to know that according to Jim,
I am now a health nut (although my Wii
Fit would probably argue withme on that
one). Don’t getmewrong: There aremany
wonderful restaurants in New York City,
but I have not foundbrisket anywhere that
can touch goodTexas slow-smokedbrisket.
Thanks, Jim, for gettingmymouthwater-
ing. I am currentlyworkingon justification
for a trip toDallas next week— something
“business critical,” I’m sure.
