I was pleased to read CEOGerard Arpey’s
August “Vantage Point” in
AmericanWay
,
in which he wrote glowingly about our
hometown, Toronto. Arpey spoke about
many of thewonderful attractions and cul-
tural activities inCanada’s largest city.
However, with regard to the various
sporting opportunities, golf was not men-
tioned. There are hundreds of fine golf
courses in theTorontoarea, aswell asmany
more just two to threehours away.
The vast majority of these courses are
accessible to the public, and I want to rec-
ommend that people look up the Golf As-
sociation of Ontario online for incredible
courses and great values.When visitingTo-
ronto, consider spending timeononeof our
many courses. Youwill bepleasedyoudid!

I always read
AmericanWay
when I travel,
especially articles about cities that interest
me. About a year ago, I clipped a list of the
best British-food restaurants in London,
which included the restaurant Ffiona’s.
Ffiona, the owner, toldme that the restau-
rant was recommended byKateBeckinsale

My husband and I celebratedmy birth-
day at Ffiona’s on July 30 of this year. The
food was delicious! I knew it all would be
when I tasted the salad with watermelon,
fig, and feta cheese. The sea bass was the
best ever, and the sticky-toffeepuddingwas
perfect. My husband ate the real British
pork roast andall the trimmings, and itwas
perfect too. The service was excellent, and
we appreciated the time that Ffiona devot-
ed tomakingus feel athome; she even took
