MCWlaserPRO laser engraver offers three different versions. There are 20W (30W), and 50W options. These lasers operate at 1064nm wavelength.
Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. (FM1212-50S) does not include assembly. The modules can be attached to the machine by simply referring to their manual.
FSL Muse Pandora has a mirror galvanometer in its laser head which traces out the laser path before cutting and gives a rough idea of the cuts it will make.
A special type of fiber laser known as MOPA fiber laser, provides greater control over pulse width and frequency parameters to produce color laser engravings on metals.
Fiber lasers are solid lasers. But, they are also different from diode Lasers. There is a big difference in their capabilities.
With plasma, you usually have to finish the cut with scraping or shaving because there’s leftover residue like dross.
AMADA introduces the world’s first fiber laser cutting system with Locus Beam Control (LBC). LBC Technology can freely manipulate the laser beam to create an infinite number of locus patterns and greatly enhance cutting performance. In conventional fiber laser cutting systems, energy density reduces as material thickness increases, resulting in alack of effi ciency. In marked contrast, LBC Technology offers flexible beam pattern control matched to each application, while retaining high-efficiency cutting and high energy density. As a result, VENTIS achieves cutting speeds up to 3times faster than a conventional 4kW fiber laser while producing superior edge quality.
This means that fiber laser light will be absorbed at a higher rate by metals than CO2 lasers when they are working with them.

With the latest in artificial intelligence (AI) and gas reduction technology, the new GX-F ADVANCED Series of two-dimensional fiber lasers delivers more power while using less nitrogen.
Fiber lasers have revolutionized the laser metal cutting industry thanks to their low maintenance costs and high cutting efficiency.
Triumph's 30-W desktop fiber laser is able to engrave metal parts and tools, including aluminum, gold, stainless steel and copper.
How plasma works can get a little complicated. So, I’m explain as simply and quickly as possible. Plasma cutters basically heat up gas so much that it gets hot enough to melt metal. Then, when the metal is heated up enough to melt, it is blown away with gas to make the cut. There’s a complicated science behind this, but I’ll save that for another day! (or you can research on your own if you like).
When lasered, some acrylics made from PVC can emit toxic fumes. It is better to verify the chemical composition of any materials you intend to engrave.
Power consumption is extremely low.
A 3000W fiber laser requires 10kW of power plus 5kW for a chiller, for a total of 15kW. $2,700 per year at a rate of 15kW per hour for 12 hours.
Because the glass is transparent and the wavelength range of the automatic fiber laser cutting machine does not fall within the absorption range of the glass, it only absorbs a small amount of laser energy within the visible spectrum and cannot be cut by fiber laser.
The wavelength is the primary distinction that determines the types of materials that each laser can process. The wavelength of a fiber laser is typically 1,060 nm, whereas CO2 lasers have wavelengths in the 10,600 nm range. Fiber lasers have many advantages over CO2 lasers in general.
