Summer has arrived, and we have lots of exciting events and classes planned for you! Mark your calendar now so you don't miss a single one!

Memorial Day Concert
Join your Woodlake friends and neighbors at East West Legacy Park on Saturday, May 25*, 5:00-9:00 PM for a concert featuring The Fender Benders. There will be plenty of food, snacks and beverages for sale, as well as activities and giveaways for the kids. Click here for complete information. *Rain date: May 26.

Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers at the Memorial Day Concert to help sell beverage tickets, pour wine, and serve beer. Sign up for just one hour, and we'll treat you to 3 beverages of your choice. Sign up with a friend, or get your whole street involved. You'll be having fun and serving your community at the same time! To sign up, click here, and use code wca14900 to enter the site.

What's SUP?
SUP is Stand Up Paddleboarding, and it's a new water sport that anyone can do. Now we're bringing it to Woodlake! Experienced instructors from Black Dog Paddle will conduct 5 classes this summer, beginning with the first one on June 15. Lessons cover all the basics, and all essential gear is provided. If you're a Woodlake resident AND a WSRC member, let us know when you call, and we'll give you $5 off the class fee! Click here for complete information, dates, and sign up instructions.

WSRC Community Weekend - Open to ALL Residents!
May 31-June 2 is an excellent opportunity to experience what the Woodlake Swim & Racquet Club has to offer. Beginning with Friday Cheers on May 31, you and your family are invited to the SRC for this FREE weekend event! Advance passes are required, so click here to find out more.

Richmond Flying Squirrels Community Night
Show your community pride at The Diamond on June 5 when the Squirrels take on Nebraska. Tickets are just $7 each and are available at the WCA office. If WCA sells 200 or more tickets, someone from our group may have a chance to throw out the first pitch! Find out more here.

June Moonlight Movie
Put on your pajamas, pop some popcorn, and get comfy on your favorite blanket or lawn chair as you watch a movie under the stars at Legacy Park. On Friday, June 14, we'll feature Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away beginning at 8:30 pm. This movie is rated PG. For reviews and other movie info, click here.

Rain Barrel Worshop
The Woodlake Environmental Committee is once again sponsoring its very popular Rain Barrel Workshop on Saturday, June 15. In Just 2 hours, you'll learn how to set up and use a rain barrel, then you'll put one together, ready to take home and put to use! This workshop is a bargain at just $35 per barrel (similar ones sell for as much $100-120), so sign up now - space is limited to just 24 barrels! Find out more.

Skywatch is back!
An evening by the lake is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night with your family, and it's even more fun when the Richmond Astronomy Club joins us. They generously share their knowledge and equipment with us for a little stargazing, and you're likely to see something new, even if you've attended before. Come out and join us Saturday, June 15 beginning at 9:00 PM. Attendance is free, but sign up ahead of time so the RAC knows how many telescopes to bring. Call the WCA at 739-4344.

There are many more events to come, so be sure to watch for future emails from WCA, and like us on Facebook to get frequent updates about events, meetings, and other happenings in our community!
