Treating dogs with severe separation anxiety

Personal protection puppy training
CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. CCRF assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in our city – the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, too injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters. Help one of Chicago’s most vulnerable animals today – make a donation to Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation! This is one of 30 sick dogs taken in by North Chicago Animal Control during an investigation.
Many of the dogs were dehydrated and malnourished, two needed emergency veterinary care and two others were noticeably pregnant.
Supplies and monetary donations may be dropped off at the North Chicago Police Department, 1850 Lewis Avenue, North Chicago 60064.

North Chicago Animal Control does not adopt out dogs and was already filled beyond capacity before this situation arose.
Anyone interested in helping with the dogs on a volunteer basis is asked to call 847-596-8774 and leave a contact number. However, today, Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation exists to give many of these animals a second chance, too! CCRF has saved the lives of over 3,000 dogs, cats, kittens (yes, we have started helping a few felines each year, too!) and puppies.
Now, even more help is needed from the rescue community and donors after 30 sick dogs were rescued from a one-bedroom apartment in North Chicago. The call is out now to shelters and rescue organizations to help with care of the dogs and to take them into their programs.

Since North Chicago Animal Control does not have the space for this many dogs, a makeshift kennel has been set up at the police department. Dana Deutsch, North Chicago's Animal Warden, says they need bedding, peepads, good quality dry and canned dog food, trash bags, bleach, laundry detergent, spray bottles, towels, blankets, ammonia, gloves and throw away containers for food as they continue to care for and assess the dogs.
