Ingredients

cup rice

greater than half cup moong dal

minutes soak moong dal in water and keep it aside

cup grated carrot

cup small chop beans

cup peas
¼
teaspoon salt

teaspoon turmeric

to 1 teaspoon powdered black pepper

teaspoon jeera

Directions

  1. Add all the above ingredients into pressure cooker
  2. Add 3.25 cups water
  3. Pressure cook on medium flame, 1 whistle and 7 minutes in lowest flame level
  4. Wait for 10 minutes
  5. open cooker, add salt to taste
  6. Add tadka, put some oil and mustard, once mustard spits add curry leaves and urad dal and green or red chilly if u want and some ghee.
  7. Add tadka to cooker
  8. Keep ready half litre boiling water and add to the cooker and keep stirring.
  9. You are ready to serve
