Post-performance discussion with David Thomson

David talks about the emotions that were brought up in the making of the piece, and the intensify of watching EJ and his kids--the feeling of children and parents as a part of process--emblematic of the piece and the air it created.

There seems to be a theme of healing throughout the reactions of the makers.

I realize while talking with David that I created a situation where I didn't feel that I neglected or disappointed a large group of people,
where nobody ganged up on me, or tried to undermine me (where there was nobody present who would do that).
David remarked on the use of a text as a deflection device--part of my authority was not me, so people were less likely to fight me (as a representative of authority).
We talked about how others in the piece also constantly remarking on the ways that being part of the process addressed many parts of their selves.
