This was my second job at a year since I was laid off in my last place in a department store. I thought that Christmas would be the opportunity to give something back to those who were less lucky than me. Thus, once I discovered that Houston, Texas, is home to quite a few homeless individuals I decided this is a terrific time to go Christmas shopping.

I got to my job at Houston, Texas a bit late and did not have enough time to shop all day. I was requested to sign in to the back office and they told me they needed someone to help with the lights at Christmas time and could look after it for them. It sounded like a great deal to me and I signed up to help.

My first job was to prepare the lights at Christmas time. I found the best places for my light fixtures and did my very best to keep all of my customers happy whilst providing hours of great customer service. I also put up two sets of lights and made sure that they had been lit at various times of the day so each individual’s day was somewhat different.
