12 HISTORY STAFF RECORDS REVIEW OPPONENTS COACHES PLAYERS INTRO Page 42 THIS IS GRIFFON FOOTBALL Outlook: Will come into the fall as the starting quarterback...has a lot of athletic ability and a strong arm... will continue to get better with more repetitions...will be looked upon to be a leader on and off the field. 2012 season: Started all 14 games...threw 218 completions for 2,706 yards...had 132 rushes for 451 yards with a 3.4 average... threw four touchdown in three different games, including games against Nebraska-Kearney, Northeastern State and Pittsburg State...led the Griffons to the quarterfinals of the Division II NCAA Playoffs for the first time in program history...had a record 18 rushing touchdowns...threw 30 touchdowns which gave him a total of 48 scores in the season...was First Team All-MIAA...named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 10 when the Griffons won 21-20 in a comback victory...had four rushing touchdowns in Missouri Western’s first playoff victory in program history, coming on Nov. 17 against Minnesota-Duluth in a 57-55 triple-overtime thriller...recorded four punts and one tackle throughout the season. 2011 season: Honorable Mention all-MIAA selection...started all 12 games...rushed the ball 130 times for 520 yards and eight touchdowns...had two games with over 100 yards, November 5 against Northwest Missouri State and November 12 at Fort Hays State University...had two touchdown runs at Missouri Southern on October 1, 2011...completed 150-of-277 passes with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions...had a career high 278 yards passing against Truman State on October 22, 2011...had two tackles and punted once for 13 yards. 2010 season: Played in eight games...rushed 13 times for 60 yards with a long of 25 on September 9, 2010 against Lincoln... connected on 11-of-23 pass attempts with a long of 38 against Missouri Southern... was 4-for-7 with one touchdown and 43 yards against Lincoln. 2009 season: Redshirted High School: Played at Savannah High School…was an All-District quarterback…Second Team All-Conference quarterback.
