GRIFFON FOOTBALL HISTORY STAFF RECORDS REVIEW OPPONENTS COACHES PLAYERS INTRO Page 2 THIS IS GRIFFON FOOTBALL Griffon Football has established itself as one of the elite programs in all of NCAA Division II. Of the 167 teams that compete in Division II, the Griffons have a record of 85-35 over the last decade which is the sixth highest winning percentage (.708) in the country during this time. The Griffons have been a staple in postseason play qualifying eight of the last nine seasons including three straight trips to the NCAA Playoffs including a quarterfinal finish last season. In the Jerry Partridge era, 196 players have been named to the All-MIAA teams including 14 NCAA All-Americans. Four Griffons are currently on NFL rosters including St. Louis Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein, Oakland Raiders defensive end David Bass, San Diego Chargers running back Michael Hill and Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Roger Allen. The 2012 Griffon seniors graudated as the winningest four year class in school history with 38 victories. 12 wins during 2012 was a school record which made it the seventh time in the last 11 years the Griffons had won nine or more games in a season (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2012). The Griffons have been ranked in the national poll 20 consecutive weeks.
