Blue Ridge HS 2012 JUNIOR SEASON Played in nine games for the Pirates, making seven starts… had 37 tackles on the season, including 21 solo stops… recorded a season high 11 tackles (eight assisted) in the season opener at Tennessee Tech… recorded half a tackle for a loss… broke up two passes and defended two others. 2011 SOPHOMORE SEASON Played in eight games for the Pirates, making seven starts… was fifth on the team with 53 tackles (including 19 solo stops)… had a career-high 17 tackles (five solo) against Princeton on Oct. 8… added eight tackles (four solo) against North Carolina Central on Oct. 22… had 2.0 tackles for a loss of six yards… forced a fumble against North Carolina Central… recovered a team-high four fumbles on the season… returned two fumbles for 10 yards… broke up six passes and defended six others. 2010 FRESHMAN SEASON Played in five games as a reserve for the Pirates… recorded his lone tackle of the season at Morgan State. Oscar Smith HS 2012 FRESHMAN SEASON Played in five games for the Pirates, making his lone start of the season against Savannah State on Oct. 27… completed 20 of 33 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown on the season… completed 60.6 percent of his passes… has an efficiency rating of 99.56… threw four interceptions… threw for a season-high 103 yards at North Carolina Central on Oct. 18, going 11-for-16 in the air… threw his first career touchdown pass against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 29. OSCAR SMITH HIGH SCHOOL Threw 30 touchdowns as a sophomore on the JV team… moved up to varsity as a junior, throwing for 3,323 yards and 35 touchdowns for the Tigers… was named First Team All-Tidewater, All-Southeastern District, and All-Region… was Honorable Mention All- State… threw for 3,026 yards and 40 touchdowns, while rushing for six scores, as a senior, leading the Tigers to a state championship… also won district and regional titles as a senior… was named Tidewater, Region and State Player of the Year… named Player of the Year by the Norfolk Sports Club. Jamal Wilson 53 | Offensive Line 6-5, 315, R-Senior Brooklyn, N.Y.
