Recorded at least one tackle in every game, Phillips finished with a season-high five stops twice in the season-opener against Central Oklahoma and season finale against Pittsburg State. Recorded at least a half a tackle or more for loss in 8 of the Lions’ 11 games recording two tackles for loss against Northeastern State and Northwest Missouri. Eric Dago DL 6-3 236 Sr. Houston Texas University of Utah 96 2013 - Appeared in all 10 games along the defensive line for the Lions as a junior making one start in the season-opening win at home over Central Oklahoma...Tied for 11th on the team in tackles with 22, including eight solo...Also made four tackles for a loss of 13 yards...Tied for third on the team with 2.0 sacks for a loss of 10 yards...Also had a pair of quarterback hurries...Posted a season-high five tackles, three solo in the season-opening win over UCO. 2012- Playing in eight games at defensive end for the Lions as a junior, Dago recorded three tackles, half a tackle for a loss of two yards and a quarterback hurry on the year. Made two tackles in season finale at home against Pittsburg State where he also recorded his TFL. Forced a quarterback hurry against Northwest Missouri. Prior to Southern - The older brother of current Lion Gino Dago, Eric redshirted at Utah. A native of Houston, Dago prepped at Westside High School where he was a four-year starter. He was an All-District selection and labeled as one of the Houston Area Top 100 players, while being named the team captain and Defensive MVP. As a senior, he recorded 73 tackles, seven sacks and added a fumble recovery. Personal - He is the son of Cris Orzabal and Deadra Dago Orzabal and is undecided on his major at Southern.
