Also made three tackles, two solo at Northwest Missouri and two tackles, both solo, a TFL and a quarterback hurry in Southern’s win over Lindenwood-Belleville. 2012- Tomlinson played in four games at linebacker as a true freshman making five total tackles, two solo, while also registering a pass break-up. Recorded three tackles, one solo, at Northwest Missouri while recording a pass break-up and a pair of stops in Southern’s homecoming victory over South Dakota School of Mines. Prior to Southern - Tomlinson comes to Southern after a standout career at Berryhill High School in Broken Arrow, Okla. ... this past season, Tomlinson was the District Player of the Year, while being named first-team All-Metro and honorable mention All-State ... this past year, Tomlinson had 198 tackles, with five forced fumbles and three recoveries ... for his career, he had 582 tackles in his career with seven sacks, one interception, one defensive touchdown, ten forced fumbles, six recoveries and one blocked punt ... Allen Hancock College 2013 - A third-team All-MIAA selection as a running back, Barnwell also earned Don Hansen All-Super Region Three first-team and honorable mention All-American honors as he led the Lions with 878 yards and finished second on the team with seven rushing touchdowns...Finished sixth in the MIAA in rushing as the Lions also broke school records for rushing yardage (3,684), rushing touchdowns (42), and carries (597), all of which were set last season....Ran for over 100 yards in four games, including a season-high 161 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown against Lincoln...Also caught three passes for 38 yards. Prior to Southern - Barnwell comes to Southern after a pair of seasons at Allan Hancock College in California … An All-Conference selection this past season, Barnwell played in ten games and had 494 yards and four touchdowns … as a freshman, he racked up 652 yards and added five touchdowns … Barwell prepped at Savannah Christian High School where he was twice named an Offensive Player of the Year, once by the Savannah Morning Times and again named the 3-A (east) Region Player of the Year … He was an All-Conference selection all four seasons, while being named All-Empire three times and was an All-State pick twice … he finished his career by carrying the ball 280 times as a senior, totaling 1,706 yards and 20 touchdowns while missing nearly four full games with an ankle injury … For his career, Barnwell has rushed for over 5,800 yards. Personal - He is the son of Joseph and Demetria Barnwell. 2013 - Appeared in all 10 games at linebacker for Southern finishing 14th on the team in tackles with 17, five solo and also a tackle for a loss of three yards...Recorded a season-best four stops, two solo, in the Lions win over Lindenwood-Belleville...Also assisted on three tackles in Southern’s season-opening win over Central Oklahoma. 2012- Slade appeared in 9 of Southern’s 11 games at linebacker as a true freshman recording 10 total tackles, six solo, one tackle for loss and a sack. Had a season-high five stops, four solo, in the Lions’ homecoming win over South Dakota School of Mines. Had a solo tackle and a sack for a loss of six yards against Central Missouri. Prior to Southern - As a senior, Slade tallied 107 tackles, while adding two interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for Plantation High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. ... He was named the team’s Most Outstanding Linebacker ... He was a second-team All-Broward County pick, as well as a second-team All-Miami Herald section.
