WalzCraft offers a variety of Cabinet Refacing Materials including Non-Adhesive Veneer, PSA Veneer, Veneer and MDF Core Plywood, and Solid Wood Refacing Stock.
The Non-Adhesive Paper Back Veneer is composed of a wood veneer applied to a paper backing, resulting in a thin product that is easy to work with. The Non-Adhesive Wood Back Veneer is a 2-ply veneer (face veneer is the species specified by the customer and the back is a luan veneer that simply helps balance out the sheet).
Securing this veneer can be done by applying solvent or water based contact cement to both the cabinet and veneer in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. The Non-Adhesive Phenolic Back Veneer is stiffer, thicker, and more resistant to dents than both the Paper Back and Wood Back Veneers. The Pressure Sensitive Wood Back Veneer has the same features as the Non-Adhesive Wood Back Veneer, but is supplied with a 3M Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) applied to the back. When installing this product it is critical that pressure be applied with a veneer-smoothing blade for proper adhesion. Common wood working tools such as table saws, sanders and routers work well with this product.
The Solid Wood Refacing Stock (RFS100) will be the closest match to the grain of the new door. WalzCraft has engineered moldings that coordinate with the use of this material for cabinet refacing.
When installing this the PSA 3D Laminate (RTF) it is critical that pressure be applied with a veneer-smoothing blade for proper adhesion. Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) 3D Laminate (RTF) Veneer is available rough-cut to size (RCTS) in 24? x 32?, 2? x 4?, 2? x 8?, 4? x 4?, and 4? x 8? Sheet Sizes, rip to rough width (RTRW) or precision cut to size (PCTS). WalzCraft sells only to Custom Cabinet Makers, Cabinet Refacers and Woodworking Professionals.

Depending on the wood species, the veneer may be available in Rotary Cut (RC) and Plain Sliced (PS). The wood backing is applied to the veneer with a cross grain direction resulting in a flatter more stable product. Many phenolic back materials will leave a black line at the edge or corner of a cabinet; however, our Non-Adhesive Phenolic Back Veneers use a lighter colored phenolic that eliminates this issue. It is the thinnest of all the refacing materials and is supplied with a 3M Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) applied to the back. The phenolic backing acts as a barrier between the glue and the veneer, eliminating any chance of the finish being affected by any solvent based products bleeding through the veneer during the installation process.
This product is most suitable for covering face frames and other small areas of the cabinet. Unlike the PSA Paper Back Veneer, this product is suitable for both face frame applications and for covering larger surfaces such as the sides of cabinets.
For the sides of the cabinet or larger surfaces, we recommend a stiffer material such as the Non-Adhesive Phenolic back 3D Laminate (RTF) Veneer. The durability and reparability are two additional features that solid wood refacing stock is known for.
