How to build a sawhorse desk, american pecan wood stain, homemade projects for toddlers - PDF Review
Inspired by Restoration Hardware's Sawhorse Trestle Desk, this easy to build version is doable by most any DIYer! So when my friend Whitney from Shanty2Chic wrote me about building a Sawhorse Style Desk for her son's room, I had just the plan for her!
Practice first on a scrap to make sure the cut fits within the sawhorse as shown in the next step. If anyone is interested I was looking through the latest FLOR Catalog (floor coverings) and on page 41 is the sawhorse desk.
One more idea - add 2 bottom stretchers (from step 5)to each sawhorse and use the stretchers as a shelf. I built these this morning in about 3 hours with the help of an almost-6-year-old and a 7-year-old.
I found it much easier to build the legs first (flat on the floor), then attach both sets of legs to the top, then attach stretchers. You might think it’s impossible, but just to convince you it’s true we’re going to show you how.View in galleryFirst you’ll need to gather some supplies.
